The Panasonic Lumix DMC GF3 is a 12 megapixel compact system camera. Even by the standards set by this type of camera the Lumix DMC GF3 is a compact size. In fact Panasonic have reduced both camera size and weight by approximately 16% when compared with the previous model.
One of the added attractions of the Lumix DMC GF3 is the fact that you can access some of the controls via a touch screen interface. You also have some buttons and dials available to access controls in a more traditional way. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size.
Features are fairly typical for a compact system camera. You have a set of manual exposure controls (Fully Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority) for when you want to add your own creative touch to your photos. Focusing options are built around a 23 area Auto Focus system. Images can be stored in RAW format. This gives you increased control when working with post production packages such as Photoshop.
With some compact system cameras the flash unit needs to be attached to the camera when it is required. Panasonic have opted to build a flash unit into the body of the Lumix DMC GF3.
You can also shoot Full High Definition movies
Panasonic have produced versions of the Lumix DMC GF3 in black, red and silver.
